Doria Miller Psychotherapy is a boutique private practice that roots its philosophy in the power of introspection, understanding our relationships with others, and the knowledge that we all have the capacity to make changes in our lives. The practice is always looking for skilled, compassionate, mature, and enthusiastic licensed therapists (LMSW/LCSW/LMHC/LMFT) to join the team. In addition to a competitive base salary, the position offers bonus potential, performance-based compensation increases, educational stipends, professional trainings, and regular supervision as well as access to the founder and supervisor Doria Miller, LCSW.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments
  • Provide Individual, group, couples, and/or family therapy
  • Develop treatment plans within a timely fashion
  • Attend weekly supervision
  • Proactively seek guidance from supervisor outside of supervision for time-sensitive needs
  • Coordinate and provide case management services as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date progress notes, correspondence regarding client, treatment plans, and termination summaries within expected time frames
  • Respond appropriately to all client communications outside of session
  • Create discharge/termination/referral/aftercare plans as necessary
  • Attend professional development trainings at least twice a year

Additional Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required
  • Licensed in New York state in good standing
  • LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT (no limited permits)**Additional certifications or trainings are a plus
  • Able to take on a minimum of 18 weekly sessions
  • Able to work minimum 1 evening per week
  • Knowledge and regular use of evidence-based practices
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
  • Clinical documentation writing experience
  • Reliable high speed internet access
  • Private space with a door in which to conduct sessions
  • Up to date covid vaccination

Schedule:

  • This role is fully remote for the time being. Opportunity for in-person office access with adequate interest from clients and therapist
  • Full time schedule to be flexibly co-created with Doria Miller, LCSW
