Workshops

We are proud to offer workshops at this practice to support anyone who is looking for a more focused approach to self-development. While traditional therapy offers the valuable opportunity for deep, nuanced, personalized exploration of oneself and one’s history, it can also prove to be too much of a time commitment or a financial burden. These workshops provide an effective alternative, offering participants tangible tools and evidence-based research in a more targeted fashion. These workshops are designed to complement personal growth journeys at every stage, ensuring accessibility for everyone who is eager to learn more about the research-based skills necessary to live a happy, fulfilling life.

7 Principles for Making Marriage Work

The Seven Principles workshop is based on the world-renowned research of The Gottman Institute and New York Times bestselling book—The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Their evidence-based approach boasts a 91% accuracy in predicting divorce, and in turn, in understanding exactly what qualities are necessary to nurture a happy, healthy relationship.

This workshop is designed to help couples at all stages of commitment—be it dating, engaged or married. Over the course of two immersive days couples will gain invaluable tools and skills necessary to maintain a thriving, lasting relationship.

Details:

The workshop takes place over two days and includes lectures, psychoeducation, and private couples exercises to help develop skills in real time. Registration includes a copy of the book The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, two workbooks, and the Gottman love maps card deck.

Couples may be invited to discuss their experience of integrating the new tools into their relationship or their experience of an exercise, but will never be asked to disclose their personal problems in front of the group. This workshop has been deliberately limited to a maximum of 10 couples to ensure an intimate setting and allow for time for individualized questions.
